Cards Against Animality is a spin-off from the popular "Cards Against Humanity" with an anti-speciesist twist.

Sometimes you have to laugh so you don't cry, we made this game to bring vegans closer together, which includes poking fun at ourselves. Play socially with friends, organise a meetup with new people in your community, or dare to play with carnist scum.

Subversive and marginalized ideas can spread contagiously by reappropriating artifacts drawn from popular media and injecting them with radical connotations. This can work if we bypass the audience’s mental filters by mimicking familiar cultural symbols, then disrupting them. Hopefully, we can reclaim a bit of autonomy from the mass-mediated hall of mirrors that we live in, and find artful ways to talk back to the spectacle and use its artifacts to amplify our own voices. Plus it's funny.

Trigger warning
Cards contain reference to violence. We went to a bit of a dark place here.

How to use this pdf
Download and print the PDF template (recycled paper is recommended). Cut the cards down to size, a guillotine works best (you should have one lying around ready for the oppressors anyway). Store the cards for multiple uses #almostzerowaste.

We meet and work on stolen land and we acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded. We wish to pay our respects to the rightful custodians of this land, and to their elders past, present and emerging.
